Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is CBD?CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is just one of many different molecules called cannabinoids that are found in the cannabis plant. CBD is not an acronym. Cannabidiol has been shortened to CBD simply because it’s customary for cannabinoids to have a three-letter designation, such as CBG for cannabigerol, CBN for cannabinol and so forth.

What is the shelf life of Asha’s CBD products? The expiration is 18 months under proper storage conditions.
-
How does bioavailability impact CBD efficacy? Not all methods for using CBD are equal. Their effectiveness depends not only on the method of consumption and the ingredients in the product, but also on the bioavailability of the CBD afforded by each method.
-
What is the appropriate amount of tincture? As with bioavailability and time to take effect, the ideal serving of CBD depends on a variety of factors including the product being used, the concentration of the CBD in the product, genetic makeup, sex, weight and so on. The serving size will vary greatly depending on why it’s being used and it will take some experimentation to determine an ideal serving for a particular person. Our tinctures come with pipettes which include volume markers so that you can find just the right dose for your need. Start with a low serving size and increase slowly. We suggest taking a few days to make a note of how your body feels and adjust as needed.

What is the extraction and purification method?Asha’s products are made using a proprietary hemp extraction and purification process that involves supercritical CO2, a commonly used method of extraction. Once extracted, undesirable plant solids like waxes are removed from the oil. This ensures we preserve the broad spectrum profile of non-psychoactive phytocannabinoids and synergistic compounds such as cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), cannabichromene (CBC), and over 40 naturally preserved terpenes. The end result is the highest quality broad spectrum hemp derived phytocannabinoid-rich oil that contains no solvents, no heavy metals, no pesticides and 0.0% THC.

What is the advantage of nanoemulsion used in our Softgels? The average size of our hemp oil droplet in this form is 25 nanometers, compared with 100-5000 nanometers that is usually obtained by using the industry standard liposomal delivery method. The small size of our nanoemulsion hemp oil leads to a much larger surface area of the hemp oil droplets leading to much higher absorption in the bloodstream. This means you can use less of the product made with these processes to achieve the same level of benefit as the products sold by most of our competitors. We think that’s a reason to celebrate.

How do I use the QR code?Every label we design has a QR code that, when scanned, opens up www.mycbdtest.com, a third-party website. You can access the website directly if you prefer not to use the QR code. Once the website is opened, a dialog box appears, prompting a batch number to be entered. The batch number for any product can be found on the bottom of the packaging. (Everything prior to T) Once the batch number is entered, a downloadable document appears with a third-party CoA, CoIA, and lab test. This is a downloadable document that shows a variety of results.
