Why create a CBD Cocktail?
Well, mixologists including those at the infamous LA speakeasy, The Stubborn Nail, have a number of reasons to spice up and chill out your favorite concoctions. They have shared a custom, premium CBD cocktail through their Garden-to-Glass model. What is Garden-to-Glass? Glad you asked. The Stubborn Nail speakeasy was started by avid gardeners who grow many of their fresh ingredients from fruit to herbs. We love the model as it adds a personal, local twist to your beverage while opening up a world of possibilities. Did we also mention that they are some of the healthiest and most sustainable cocktails by growing nutrient-rich, organic ingredients locally and cutting out carbon emissions for not having to transport produce?
Is it a waste of time and CBD?
Not according to mixologist, Zsolt “George” Csonka, in an interview with Food&Wine. “It gives you a different kind of ‘buzz’ for a relaxed state of mind,” says Csonka. “After two drinks, you should find yourself feeling calm and mellow.” Although alcohol can temporarily relieve stress, it can also be a downer.
While hemp-derived CBD is not marijuana-derived THC and will not get you high, it will deliver another experience, a little pause and relaxation. CBD replaced activated charcoal as the #1 ubiquitous food fad, and the non-psychoactive ingredient has been creeping its way into cocktail (and coffee) circles nationwide. Broad-spectrum CBD like Asha tinctures also have a range of terpenes (compounds of fragrance) and earthy notes that can add color and texture to different flavor profiles.
Cheers to relaxation
CBD helps to maintain a relaxed mood, and so like many others across the country, infusing CBD into your beverage may assist in balancing some of those emotional swings.* CBD can also support joint and muscle function, which makes it perfect after a long day of either sitting and crunching numbers at your desk or physically being on your feet all day. Not to mention, it’s perfect for battling traffic.
So, without further ado, enjoy!
